Snowflake Man Holiday Performance

After the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, everyone needs a chance to sit back and relax. Get back to spending quality time with your families when Christmas is over. One of the most charming ways to do just that is to head to the Lake Oswego Public Library for their annual performance of “The Snowflake Man.”

“The Snowflake Man” is a family-friendly performance inspired by Wilson Bentley, a farmer and scientist who was the first person to capture the image of a snowflake! It doesn’t get cooler than that! Watch as this unique trunk show comes to life with marionettes, props, and more. A pop-up book of watercolor paintings helps bring the show to life. Combining art, science, history, and more, “The Snowflake Man” is a great way to top off your holiday festivities.

If you think this sounds like a great time with your loved ones, then mark your calendar. You can catch the show on December 27 at 1 pm. Be sure to check out the full calendar of events for even more fun! The Lake Oswego Public Library is located at 706 4th Street in Lake Oswego.  When you live in beautiful Lake Oswego, there’s always a ton of fun around every corner!

Here are a few family-friendly upcoming activities you can put on the calendar.

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST

If you have or know some teenagers who have some carving skills, then tell them about this upcoming contest. This event is open to teens ages 11-17. Think they have what it takes? Come to the battle of the jack-o-lanterns at the Lake Oswego Teen Lounge on Friday, October 20 from 5-7 pm. Even if they aren’t a carving expert, this event will still be a blast. Lake Oswego Teen Lounge is located at 1500 Greentree Road.
